Vavrišovo (Dolný kemp) - Liptovský Ján (cycle routes 2436, 006 SWT)- Stanišovská jaskyňa - Liptovský Mikuláš - Havránok - Svätý Kríž - Pavčina Lehota

The eleventh day of our bike tour was spent entirely in Liptov County. The landscape here is beautiful and there are many interesting places to discover. That's why we were really looking forward to this day, and finally the weather was on our side. After three days, the sun finally came out, even if only for a short time. Leaving Vavrisovo, our first stop was Liptovsky Hrádok, where we climbed up to the castle ruins, which offered us a beautiful view. Continuing on, we arrived at neighboring Liptovsky Ján, where, despite the cold weather, we took a dip in the local thermal pool, which was a fantastic experience, as the water was warmer than the air outside. I recommend everyone to try it! From there, we cycled up to the Stanisovská Cave, one of the public caves in the area, known for its bats. We had lunch in Liptovsky Mikuláš at a very good restaurant, and after lunch we cycled around the Liptovská Mara reservoir, which collects water from the Váh River. At the far end of the lake, we visited an open-air museum village, then continued on our way to our destination. We only stopped at one more place before reaching our destination. The church of Sväty Kríz is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest wooden church in the country. I recommend everyone take another look, because it's worth it! It was another beautiful day, and the weather was finally kind to us. Tomorrow we will leave Liptov County and head for the Low Tatras!
